The transfer balance account report captures information about super amounts moving into and out of retirement phase accounts. This session looks at the new events based reporting framework and the obligations under it, including:

Our presenter

Shaun La Motte, Director – Superannuation, Pitcher Partners, Melbourne

Shaun joined the Superannuation team at Pitcher Partners in 2011, bringing with him over 16 years' experience working with the superannuation and accounting industries.

As a client director, Shaun specialises in providing specialist advice to individual clients and business entities regarding superannuation legislation, pensions and planning for retirement. An expert in the technical intricacies of superannuation legislation and related tax areas, Shaun presents regularly at industry forums, and has also presented for the CPA Australia's Congress series.

Shaun holds a Bachelor of Business Accounting, is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and is an accredited Self-Managed Superannuation Specialist Advisor with the Self-Managed Super Fund Professionals Association of Australia (SPAA).
