 ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Our annual SMSF audit conference (held at the Gold Coast in July every year) draws SMSF auditors from across the country. It is one of our more popular conferences and that is why we are repeating this event in Melbourne in November 2018 for all those who couldn’t get to the Gold Coast.

This year’s conference focuses on both the auditor’s role and the difficult technical issues facing auditors, as well as updates on audit technology and the recent Federal Budget announcements on audit cycles. It also provides a detailed look at managing audit risk post super reforms, with emphasis on valuation headaches and auditing death benefit payments and pensions.

FEEDBACK FROM THIS SAME CONFERENCE HELD IN JULY 2018 AT THE GOLD COAST

41% of delegates were very satisfied with the conference and 59% were quite satisfied, yielding an overall result for the event of 4.4 out of 5.  Around 70% of delegates found the content all or mostly relevant to their professional lives, and a further 22% between half and three quarters relevant.

  • This is without a doubt the best "SMSF Auditor" focussed training course I have attended. The small numbers offer the opportunity for close engagement with the presenters. The content and structure of the course was excellent.
  • Always a very thorough seminar, relevant with good speakers.
  • The presenters were practical in their comments.
  • First time attendee, enjoyed content and knowledgeable presenters.
