About the Podcast

Whether it be legislative amendments, the impact of the pandemic or interesting judicial decisions – it can be difficult to stay on top of the law while running a busy practice. This session provides a general update of the law of retail leasing in Victoria including:

  • An overview of the Retail Leases Act 2003, including amendments to key provisions in recent years;
  • The impact on retail leases arising from the end of the Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme and other COVID related measures; and
  • What the VCAT decision of Eastcombe (and other cases of significance) may mean for this area.
