This Law Practice Management Course will be conducted online and at the College of Law SA.
Making the transition from solicitor to principal or partner of a law practice requires greater skills and understanding of the business of managing a legal practice. This Accredited Law Practice Management Course (ALPMC) is designed to provide you with everything you need to make that transition.
The LPMC is accredited by the Legal Practitioners Education and Admission Council for the purposes of obtaining a Category A or B Practising Certificate.
During this course, you will:
- learn the challenges and pitfalls of running your practice
- understand the financial mechanics of your practice
- develop a detailed business plan, a blueprint for your practice
- apply professional responsibility and ethical practice requirements
- manage legal practice risk and avoid negligence
- learn marketing and business development strategies
-incorporate practice management systems and new technologies
- implement effective people management techniques
- learn about trust accounts and Lawcover
- understand how to better manage and supervise staff
- understand stress and how to balance personal and professional objectives
Induction: Monday, 11 March 2024, 5.15pm to 6.00pm via video conferencing
Workshops delivered at the College of Law SA:
- Thursday, 21 March 2024 9am to 5pm
- Friday, 22 March 2024 9am to 5pm
- Saturday, 23 March 2024 9am to 4.30pm
