About the Conference

Succession lawyers navigate a complex landscape where client needs meet intricate family dynamics, asset structures, and the risk of disputes. Join us at TEN The Education Network’s 12th Annual Melbourne Wills and Estates Conference to explore these challenges and dive into pressing issues shaping succession law. Topics covered include navigating the rights and entitlements of step-children to super and the estate, mutual wills and the lessons from Re Miglic, as well as the consequences of broken promises for estate administration. The conference also includes a deep dive into the decision of Jurak v Latham and its impact on family provision claims, as well as counting the cost of the after-tax treatment of inheritances.

The conference also includes a presentation on each of the compulsory subjects so most practitioners can earn their 10 CPD units subject to professional body rules.
