Legal disputes are generally settled based on the intuition and experience of legal advisers and parties themselves.  In this program, Barrister and mediator Hugh Stowe, from 5 Wentworth Chambers in Sydney, puts forward an alternative methodology for deciding when to advise clients to accept offers to settle.  The methodology requires calculation of the value of a client’s litigation position, and their consequent bottom line in negotiations, which then defines the range of possible acceptable offers to settle.
