While it may be some time until it’s business as usual, many employers are now turning their minds to the next phase in the pandemic – planning for the new normal. Preparing for this now will be critical to a smooth transition and will ensure employers deliver a safe and successful return to work plan. This session examines how employers can navigate the myriad of employment-related issues as they plan for a post-COVID-19 work environment that will look quite different to any we have worked in before. It covers:

  • Navigating the National COVID-19 Safe Workplace Principles

  • Returning employees who have been stood down

  • Navigating social distancing measures

Skye Rose, Practice Leader, Moores, Hawthorn, Vic.

Skye Rose is a Practice Leader in the Corporate Advisory Team at Moores, where she leads the child safety and workplace relations teams. 

Skye was named the Law Institute of Victoria’s Government Lawyer of the Year in 2015 following her success in several high-profile discrimination cases. ‘

In 2016, Skye was appointed to the Independent Advisory Board for Victoria Police, where she provides strategic advice on sex discrimination, sexual harassment and predatory behaviour in Victoria Police.

Skye works predominately with independent school clients in the areas of child safety, privacy, discrimination and employment relations. She has extensive experience in preventing and responding to concerns about child abuse, and providing redress in line with the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

Informed by her background in human rights, Skye has appeared before parliamentary inquiries on human rights, privacy and discrimination, and assists corporate, government and not-for-profit clients to develop diversity and inclusion programs.

Skye is in demand as a speaker and presents regularly on child safety and employment relations at workplaces, conferences and industry forums.
