Phil Broderick, Principal, Sladen Legal, Melbourne

Phil is a principal of Sladen Legal and heads its superannuation team. He is the co-chair of The Tax Institute’s superannuation committee and the chair of SISFA’s technical committee. He also regularly attends meetings of the ATO’s Superannuation Industry Relationship Network (SIRN).

Phil’s areas of practice include superannuation, estate planning and succession, duties and state taxes, trusts, tax and business structuring.

Phil is a regular author and presenter. His articles have featured in The Tax Institute’s Taxation in Australia Journal and CCH’s Super News. He has presented at seminars and conferences conducted by The Tax Institute, the Television Education Network, Legalwise and various accounting bodies.

Philippa Briglia, Senior Associate, Sladen Legal, Melbourne

Philippa is a senior associate in Sladen Legal’s business law team and works primarily in the areas of superannuation, succession planning, states taxes and trust law.

She has extensive experience in advising on the superannuation regulatory framework, particularly in an SMSF context. She regularly provides advice on complex structures and arrangements involving SMSFs and SMEs. 

Philippa has been published in numerous industry publications, including the Tax Institute Journal.
