Gerry Holmes signed the Victorian Bar roll of Counsel in May 1994 and has practiced almost exclusively in Family Law since. He became an accredited Mediator in 1986 and has conducted many mediations in Family Law, Defacto Law and Commercial Law.
 
He has been Vice Chairman of Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) Family Law Executive and Chairman of LIV Family Law Education Committee. 
 
Gerry is a Lecturer at the Leo Cussen Institute Training Course for Articled Clerks and at the Victorian Bar Readers Course in practical aspects of Family Law.
 
Gerry is a regular speaker, presenter and chairperson for various education groups.
