Fourth Annual Law of Religious Institutions Conference
Religious institutions have faced significant challenges over the last few years, and the hurdles keep on coming: religious freedom remains a grey area, settled abuse claims are being reopened, and HR issues continue to evolve and grow. The 4th Annual Law of Religious Institutions Conference examines these key issues, along with a deep dive into managing risks at board level, responding to complaints against clergy, as well as the question of church vicarious liability.
Estate planners have the difficult task of weighing up a client’s family dynamics, unique financial circumstances as well as their personal needs in order to create a bespoke and appropriate estate plan. It can be a difficult balancing act. This conference is the repeat of our annual estate planning conference held in Melbourne in March 2022. This conference will address this challenge, along with other key issues estate planners face, including loan management strategies, second spouses and the family home, as well as designing an estate plan for the family business. It also includes a deep dive into super, with separate sessions on 6 member SMSFs, as well as the role of trustee discretion in death benefit decisions.
