About the Podcast

There are numerous rules within the SMSF environment that restrict dealings between related parties. This is based on the context that SMSFs are established for the sole purpose of providing retirement benefits for the members and until such time, no member or their associates should receive a benefit from the fund. Contravening this requirement can be costly in the form of penalties and loss of tax concessions. This podcast explores the various situations where related party dealings may create issues for a fund.
