William is a Nationally Accredited Specialist Family Lawyer, amongst the leading Family Lawyers in Australia.

William is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers.

William is recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a Recommended West Australian Family & Divorce Lawyer – Western Australia, 2022.

He has over 15 years’ experience in Family Law, with a particular focus in his practice on complex financial matters.

William is known for achieving a high rate of settlements without litigation being necessary. Even where litigation has been commenced there are still many opportunities to see your case settled. If settlement cannot be achieved, William can bring to your case the skills to achieve the appropriate outcome in contested Court proceedings.

He regularly advises clients and conducts litigation in cases that raise issues at the intersection of Family Law and other fields such as taxation, trusts and bankruptcy.

William is the Co-Chair of the Organising Committee for the National Family Law Conference being held in Perth in 2023.

William is the Immediate Past President of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Western Australia. Before becoming President he served a number of terms on the Executive. In one of his previous positions he led the team responsible for representing the profession in consultations with Government and the Courts. In another previous role he led the management and delivery of one of the largest legal education Programs in Western Australia.

William is a member of various professional bodies including the WA branch of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, the Law Society of Western Australia, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators.

William’s recent conference attendances include the Family Law Intensive in Sydney in February 2020.
