Skye Rose is a Practice Leader in the Corporate Advisory Team and heads the Workplace Relations, Discrimination, Safeguarding and Child Safety Teams at Moores.

Skye is an expert lawyer in the fields of workplace relations, discrimination and child safety. A skilled negotiator, litigator and commercial advisor, Skye has led some of the most significant discrimination cases in Victoria.

Skye's successes as a lawyer and thought leader have been recognised by her peers and professional associations. In 2023, Skye was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for her contribution to the law. In 2019 and 2020, Skye was awarded the Lexology Legal Influencer Award for leading author in Employment – Australasia. In 2015, Skye was awarded the Law Institute of Victoria’s Government Lawyer of the Year.

Skye's commitment to equality and preventing harm has led to several appointments. In 2016, Skye was appointed the Independent Advisory Board for Victoria Police to advise on its strategy to address sex discrimination, sexual harassment and predatory behaviour in Victoria Police. In 2019, Skye was appointed as the External Advisor to the Residential Colleges of the University of Melbourne, and lads their strategy on preventing and responding to sexual harm.

Skye is also one of the leading practitioners in safeguarding and discrimination in Australia. Since joining Moores, Skye has delivered training on discrimination, respect at work and preventing and responding to child abuse to over 30,000 people across Australia.

Skye has appeared before State and Federal Parliamentary Inquiries in relation to workplace relations, discrimination, access to justice and human rights.

Skye is in demand as a speaker and presents regularly on employment, discrimination, equality and child safety at conferences, workplaces and industry forums.
