Recent headlines have shown us that no school is immune. In this session, attendees will gain an understanding of the legal landscape as it relates to problematic or harmful sexual behaviour and will provide best practice guidance on managing these issues within a school setting. It covers:

Mathisha Panagoda is a partner in the Education team at Colin Biggers & Paisley, with extensive experience acting for schools, as well as faith-based institutions, universities, out of home care providers and insurers, on claims of bodily injury, child abuse, professional indemnity and general liability.

Mathisha's practice focuses on litigation, dispute resolution and managing end-to-end claims within a principled and outcome-focused framework. He also advises clients on strategic, governance, compliance and risk management issues, particularly in relation to child safety.
