Ben Tallboys is a Principal at Russell Kennedy Lawyers, and while based in Melbourne has spent the last 12 years providing practical solutions to schools across Australia.

Ben works with principals every day on a range of complex matters concerning staff, including performance-management, at all times placing an emphasis on achieving the best outcomes for the school while avoiding crises and disputes wherever possible. Relevant to today’s topic, Ben has considerable experience in the Fair Work Commission's anti-bullying jurisdiction, having acted for successful employers in three appeals, as well as acting for a school principal in a seven-day hearing in the Fair Work Commission to defend bullying allegations made by a teacher that touched upon performance issues.

Ben is also the legal consultant for the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia and its members.
