Melanie is a Director of Clancy & Triado and is accredited as a Family Law Specialist by the Law Institute of Victoria.

Melanie joined Clancy & Triado in December 2005 after completing a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne. She has worked in all aspects of family law since that time. Her experience includes acting for high net worth individuals in complex financial cases involving family businesses, companies and trusts, as well as contested parenting disputes involving international and domestic relocation, disputes as to parentage, and hard fought cases involving mental health issues and personality disorders, addiction and family violence.

In 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020 Melanie was recognised as a Rising Star in family law in the much coveted Doyles List.

Melanie has authored and presented various professional development papers for her peers including papers titled ‘The Definition of De Facto Relationship: Are we making Progress?’ in 2011, “Dealing with Parental and Third Party Property in Family Law Matters” in 2014 , and two papers on legal ethics in 2013 and 2015.
