Sam Slack-Smith, Senior Associate, Jenkins Legal Services, Newcastle

Sam is a NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Property Law and leads the Jenkins Legal Services property team. He is also an experienced commercial lawyer.

He has extensive experience in relation to liquor licensing and gaming matters, and has acted for a variety of clients in the hospitality and liquor industry, including developers, hoteliers, wineries, distilleries, small bars, clubs, boutique distributors, supermarket owners and bottle shop owners in the Hunter region and across New South Wales. Sam has managed and coordinated complex liquor licensing and gaming applications and transfers, as well as acted on the acquisition, leasing and disposal of numerous premises involving liquor licences. Sam also advises on and appears in liquor licensing infringement matters and appeals.

In addition to his liquor and gaming experience, Sam is an experienced property and commercial lawyer and has expertise in all aspects of commercial law and property development for hospitality clients, including business structuring and regulatory compliance, succession planning, sales of business, commercial leasing, Personal Property Securities, building and development contracts, joint venture agreements and property transactions.
